Some love stories don’t need a grand beginning — they just need a moment to pause, look each other in the eyes, and say I still choose you. That’s exactly what Caryn and Craig did for their Hilton Lake Las Vegas vow renewal, and honestly, being there to capture it was one of my favorite moments of the year.
Caryn has been one of my ongoing clients since the start of this year. She’s a producer, writer, actress, tea queen, and a total badass momma — and every quarter I get to build out content for her social media platforms and website. So when she called me up to tell me she was renewing her vows with her husband of 19 years, I was genuinely honored. Of course I said yes.
Caryn and Craig kept it exactly the way it should be — intentional, intimate, and full of real feeling. No over-the-top production, no unnecessary fuss. Just the people they love most, gathered together to witness something meaningful.
The ceremony took place on the infamous bridge above the lake at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas, right at golden hour. If you’ve never seen that bridge at sunset, just know that the light coming off the water is the kind of thing that makes a photographer’s heart skip. Their daughters stood beside them, their closest family and friends surrounded them, and Caryn and Craig said their vows all over again — this time with 19 years of life behind every word.
And instead of a traditional reception? They gathered around the lobby bar for dinner and drinks. My kind of people.
If you’re looking for a Las Vegas vow renewal location that feels intimate, scenic, and completely removed from the energy of the Strip, Lake Las Vegas is it. The Hilton sits right on the water with European-inspired architecture and grounds that photograph beautifully in any light — but sunset on that bridge is something else entirely.
As a Las Vegas vow renewal photographer, I’ve worked at venues all across the valley, and Lake Las Vegas consistently delivers that rare combination of natural beauty and easy elegance. It’s the kind of place where couples can actually be present in their ceremony rather than managing a production.
This is exactly why I do what I do. Caryn trusted me with her content, her brand, and her story long before she trusted me with one of the most personal moments in her life. That kind of relationship — built over time, rooted in trust — is what True Colors Creative is all about.
Whether it’s a quarterly content shoot or a once-in-a-lifetime vow renewal at sunset, I show up the same way every time: ready to tell the real story.
